book clubs in the meeting. Attendees will have the opportunity
to explore being part of a spiritual book club. Please

Mona Dakrouri
Born in Chapel Hill but raised in Cairo, Egypt, Mona's graduate work includes a degree in Islamic
studies at the Higher Institute of Islamic Studies, has been awarded program certification by the Egyptian Ministry
as an official presenter of Islam. Mona will touch upon the main messages of the Qur'an, how it views war and peace, and
how we might reach out to our Muslim brothers and sisters to create better understanding and respect of each other.

Bridging the Faith Divide Subcommittee
We are inviting friends
from the Muslim community to help continue our dialogue on
the paths of Islam and Quakerism, and specifically how we can put
our faith into practice. We are asking our Muslim guests to
share their reactions to President Obama's Cairo speech: its
opportunities and challenges, and examine together how the
President's overtures might help our local interfaith efforts to
end the Israeli Occupation and bring a just, secure and viable
peace to both Israelis and Palestinians.
